Managing at Yale Essentials provides you, as a manager new to managing staff at Yale, the knowledge and resources you must have in order to enhance your effectiveness from the start and create a high-performing culture.
During this two-day workshop, you will learn about Yale’s leadership expectations, key University policies and procedures for managing others, how to manage in Yale’s union environment, how to locate and tap into important resources for managing others, and more. This important orientation to managing staff at Yale will help you lead your staff with confidence and drive performance for you and your team.

- HR policies and procedures
At the end of the workshop, you will be introduced to a panel of experienced Yale senior managers who will share their experiences as leaders and answer your questions.
Open to managers of staff (within First 90 days of managing staff at Yale); all levels of managers participate (entry-, mid- and senior-levels).
