Maintenance

Summary

Explanation of Maintenance/Services:

Yale has negotiated maintenance rates with local vendors. Only these vendors should be used for the maintenance of Yale’s Fleet. 

PMA  - (Preventive Maintenance “A”)
Service to be performed at a minimum of once a year or every 3000 miles. 

Service to include the following:

  • Oil change
  • Multi point inspection
  • Lite Duty - Cars and SUVs
  • Heavy Duty - Trucks
PMB  - (Preventive Maintenance “B”)
Service to be performed at a minimum of once every two years or every 30,000 miles.

Service to include the following:

  • Oil change
  • Multi point inspection
  • Manufacturer’s  30,000 mile service requirement
  • Lite Duty - Cars and SUVs
  • Heavy Duty - Trucks

Vehicles should adhere to this schedule to ensure vehicle is in best operating condition.

Any extra repairs totaling over $1000 must be approved by Yale Fleet prior to work being done.

All invoices are to be sent to Yale Fleet- 2 Whitney Avenue, Suite 540  New Haven  CT 06510. DO NOT use a Pcard to pay for repairs and maintenance.  All repair invoices should be sent to Yale Fleet Management.

All Warranty work and recall work is to be performed at a local dealership.  If you are unsure which dealer to use please call Yale Fleet Management.  If you are unsure whether the work is warranty please call Yale Fleet Management prior to authorizing the work.

Emissions:
All departments are required to have their vehicles emissions tested within 30 days of its expiration date. FleetFocus will automatically generate a reminder to each department–60 days in advance.  All emissions PASS reports must be submitted to Fleet Management.

Check out the vendor page to see which of Yale’s approved vendors do emissions testing. These vendors have agreed to bill Yale for the emissions testing.  You will no longer need to take cash with you when testing the vehicle.  You will need the registration.
