A message from Chief Ronnell A. Higgins
Dear Members of the Yale Community,
I am heartbroken to inform you that Anton Sovetov, a graphic designer in the Office of Public Affairs & Communications who since early February has been the subject of a missing person’s investigation conducted by the Yale Police Department in concert with local, state, and federal law-enforcement agencies, has died.
Mr. Sovetov’s body was found this past weekend on the Long Island, New York shoreline. The cause of death is under investigation by the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office on Long Island. The YPD will continue to do all it can to help find answers to the mystery of Mr. Sovetov’s disappearance and death.
