Branden joined Yale in June 2014 and currently serves as Senior Director of Finance and Strategy for Operations, Finance & Administration. In this role, Branden leads financial planning and analysis functions across the university’s nine Operations planning units. Prior to his current role, Branden served as an Associate Director in the University’s Financial Planning and Analysis group, where he provided high-level strategic and financial support to senior leadership.
Before joining Yale, Branden had an extensive career in public finance investment banking, primarily for higher education, healthcare, and municipal clients. He served in senior roles at firms including Oppenheimer & Co., Legg Mason, and Ziegler Capital Markets Group. Over the course of more than a decade in the industry, he worked on over $30 billion in tax-exempt bond and derivative financings. Branden earned a Master of Science in Finance from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Stony Brook University.
