The Yale Police Department (YPD) provides comprehensive victim services aimed at supporting individuals impacted by crime and ensuring they receive compassionate, informed, and timely assistance. YPD designates a dedicated police officer, known as the Sensitive Crimes & Support Coordinator, to assist victims and oversee cases involving sexual violence, harassment, assault, intimate partner violence, stalking, workplace violence, and other forms of misconduct.
The Sensitive Crimes & Support Coordinator serves as a liaison between victims and the Department, helping guide individuals through available resources and support options while working collaboratively with university partners and local organizations. Through outreach, education, and prevention initiatives, YPD remains committed to fostering a safe, supportive environment and promoting awareness and access to services for those in need.
