West Campus Shuttle

The Yale University Shuttle service provides transportation for the Yale community between West Campus and the Central and Medical School campuses. The green and purple lines run seven days per week.

Departures from key points at West Campus are generally spaced evenly throughout the day. For the most accurate arrival times, please use the Downtowner Shuttle Tracking web app to view real-time vehicle locations and ETAs.

  • Green Line – Shuttles depart from Orange & Bishop and continue loops into East Rock during morning and evening commute hours.
  • Purple Line – Departs from two different start points, 333 Cedar and Building 400. Serves Union Station and West Haven Station during the morning commute. Return trips to train stations remain on demand beginning at 12:00PM.
  • Both lines service the West Haven train station stop all day.

On-Demand / To-Door details

  • Purple Line – Union Station (after 12:00 PM): Service is on demand; call Dispatch to request a Union Station stop.
  • Purple & Green – 200 block of West Campus: Service is on demand all day; call Dispatch to request pickup.
  • Purple & Green –To-Door (starting 6:00 PM): Notify the driver when boarding of your requested to-door drop-off location.

When the shuttle is not running, West Campus occupants can request taxi service by calling West Campus Security at 203-737-3111.
