Compliance & Analysis
The Director of Compliance and Strategic Initiatives, Lisa Skelly-Byrnes is responsible for developing, managing and implementing strategic plans and operational initiatives as part of the senior civilian administration for the University Police and Security Departments. The Director of Compliance and Strategic Initiatives also serves as the University’s compliance officer for all relevant federal and state regulations regarding public safety and will serve as a key adviser on strategic issues. The Director of Compliance and Strategic Initiatives reports directly to the Director of Public Safety/ Chief of Police.
The Director of Strategic Analysis is a civilian who reports to the Director of Compliance and Strategic Initiatives. The Director of Strategic Analysis is responsible for crimes analysis, research, statistics, and reporting which support the department leadership’s effective deployment of resources and development of crime prevention strategies. Additional responsibilities include preparing the department’s Uniform Crime Report (UCR reporting) and compiling data for the university’s annual Clery Report. The Director of Strategic Analysis assists in community outreach which includes special projects and participating in the Yale Police Citizen Police Academy.
