Associate Vice President for Capital Program Development and Delivery

Michael’s role spans project planning and design, construction, building activation, and post-occupancy evaluation of Yale’s capital program. Michael also leads the evaluation of the university’s long-term development needs—aligning capital investments with Yale’s strategic and academic priorities.

Prior to returning to Yale, Michael was the Storrs Campus Architect and director of design and STEM projects for the Office of University Planning, Design, and Construction at the University of Connecticut (UConn). He implemented and managed the STEM portfolio as part of a $1.5 billion Next Generation Connecticut capital program.

He received a B.A. in economics from McGill University, Montréal, Canada, an M.Arch from Washington University, and an M.B.A. from Fordham University. Michael is a registered architect in the states of Connecticut and New York and a member of the American Institute of Architects.
