Help the Officers of YPD Fill a Cruiser With Toys for the New Haven Community

November 21, 2014

New Haven, Conn. – Help the Officers of Yale University Police Department (YPD) fill a cruiser with toys this holiday season. Bring an unwrapped toy (appropriate for children between the ages of 5 and 12) to the locations listed below, meet the friendly officers of YPD and get your picture taken in one of our cruisers!  All the toys collected will be distributed to local kids throughout New Haven.

Dates and locations to drop off toys:

  • Saturday, November 15th at the Yale Bowl – during the Yale vs. Princeton Football game
  • Saturday, November 22nd at Broadway near the corner of Tower Parkway from 12pm-2pm  and 5pm-7pm
  • Saturday, December 13th at Broadway near the corner of Tower Parkway from 12pm-2pm  and 5pm-7pm

Bring some joy to a child this season, stop by one of these locations with an unwrapped toy.  Meet the wonderful officers of the YPD, take a selfie in one of their cruisers, send it to your friends and encourage them to stop by too!

If you can’t make it on any of these days but would like to donate, call the YPD at 203 432-4400 and we will have an officer pick it up within the city.

The YPD is running this program for the first time.  They hope to make it a yearly event.
