TR&S Manager & Driver Recognized for Outstanding Service!

Yale Support Services Manager, Gerry Appuzzo (L) and TR&S driver Cielo Lizasuian (R) receive their surprise #outofthebluethanks Director of Support Services Don Relihan (C) was there during both mini-ceremonies.
Two members of the Support Services Team recently received thanks for their outstanding service–Manager Gerry Apuzzo (L) and Cielo Lizasuain, (R) of TR&S Receiving and Delivery.
Director of Emergency Management, Maria Bouffard, sent a note of thanks after having to hire Yale’s Transportation, Receiving and Storage to move five students from Pierson. Their room has been flooded and they needed to be moved immediately. Maria’s note described how within “one hour” on contacting Gerry at TR&S they were able to get the students and their gear to their temporary space. Now “that’s service!” from another happy customer.
Cielo who has been with the university for over 20 years, was lauded by Don Relihan for his quiet, behind the scenes great customer service. This was part of a larger celebration with the entire Support Services Staff that Cielo was unable to attend. He was surprised by the mini-ceremony, grateful and expressed what a great place Yale was to work for. Gerry and Cielo, keep making us proud!
