New format required for Yale Message email distribution lists

With the transition of the Message III system to the new Yale Message system, Internal Communications would like to inform those requesting communications of a significant change. The new Yale Message system does not accept NetIDs and requires all three pieces of information for each individual to create distribution lists.

Effective immediately, for specialized non-auto generated distribution lists (e.g. Managed Workstation, CrashPlan users, etc.) those individuals requesting a communication are responsible for providing the following information:

  • Email address
  • First Name
  • Last Name

We strongly encourage the use of Excel to format this data. Use of the Online Directory or Brio reporting may be helpful to collect this data if you only have a NetID.
