YaleSites planned outage/upgrade

Over the course of the next few weeks, there will be a technical upgrade of the YaleSites cloud hosting environment. YaleSites administrators will be notified via email in advance with specific information regarding the change. We expect only a brief overnight maintenance window, during which, editing of websites will not be available. No downtime is expected for website visitors.
The benefits of this upgrade include:
- Improved overall website performance with faster page loads.
- Better disaster recovery resulting from improved backup processes and automated failover to redundant locations when emergencies occur.
- Global content delivery network to avoid resource crunches due to traffic spikes and dramatically improve load time from outside the US.
- Enhanced provisioning and website supporting tools for the YaleSites team.
Impact of this upgrade is expected to be minimal and websites will not have visual or functional modifications as a result of the change.
