Internship season kicks off - call for Yale ITS positions

January 24, 2019

The Careers in IT program is seeking managers and teams to host participants across IT. We have a talented pool of post grads, college students, and high schoolers who are ready to jumpstart their IT careers and take part in meaningful projects.

Wolson Early Career Development Program

Now in its 7th year, the Wolson ECDP has placed high-performing post grads into various rotations throughout IT. A majority of the participants have gone on secure full-time positions within Yale IT. The program strives to match each participant to the most appropriate ITS opportunity and takes into account the participant’s professional development goals, organizational need, and manager availability.

If you are interested in hosting a participant for a six-month rotation, please follow the guidelines below:

  • Rotation begins July 1, 2019 – December 31, 2019.
  • Submit a rotation description using the online form by February 15.
  • Ensure the tasks and assignments are specific to activities/projects expected to occur for your team from July to Dec 2019.
  • Ensure the primary liaison indicated is currently a manager.
  • Rotations are centrally funded by the program.

College Summer Internship Program

Since 2014, the Yale ITS Summer College Internship Program has placed over 80 college students into summer positions in IT.  As a testament to the valuable experiences, skills, and mentorship that is gained, many of these students return for additional summers or continue in the Wolson ECDP program and full-time roles.
