IT senior leadership organizational announcements
January 24, 2019
Changes in the Information Technology senior leadership team, as previously shared by John Barden:
You’ll recall that in September, Jack Callahan announced that Change Management and Operational Excellence would begin reporting through Information Technology. I view these teams as critically important strategic enablers as we look to build a stronger process orientation into all of our operational divisions across Yale. I have asked Karen Polhemus to combine these two groups and lead this service for Yale. I look forward to Karen’s leadership as we establish the evolving role of this team.
After conducting a national search with a strong pool of candidates, our own Lou Tiseo has been selected to lead Foundational Technologies. I am thrilled to have Lou build on the work he has championed in the interim role, and grateful to see the strong support for his leadership that was demonstrated through the interview process.
I am pleased to announce Sandra Germenis was recently selected as the new senior leader of Campus Technology Services (CTS). Sandra’s anticipated start date is Friday, March 1. Sandra has led a distinguished career at both the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill and the University of Texas at Austin. Her expertise spans across support services and telecommunications functions, most recently as the Assistant Vice Chancellor for User Support and Engagement at UNC. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated great success in enhancing community support and evolving workplace culture. A more in-depth introduction will be published in an upcoming issue of IT Update.
Thank you to the many who were involved in these decisions and for the feedback that underpinned each of these.
