Box Drive - Now Availalable

March 25, 2019

Box drive is a new feature available to individuals in the Yale Community with an active NetID and Box or SecureBox account. Box Drive is an easy way to work with all of your files and folders stored in Box right from your desktop, taking up very little hard drive space. You can open Windows Explorer or Mac Finder to find every file you need, edit like you would any local file, and save files automatically to the cloud.

Box Sync is being replaced with Box Drive on the Managed Workstation image, so new Managed Workstations will have Box Drive by default. For existing installations, Box Drive is not a manadatory replacement for Box Sync. We encourage you to read about the differences between Box Sync and Box Drive and why you may prefer the features of Box Drive here: Box at Yale: Box Drive vs. Box Sync.
