IT Units Integrate to Create Enterprise Applications
March 8, 2019
To bring together all of our community-wide enabling application technologies encompassing student, finance, human resources, alumni affairs, and web, among others, IT senior leadership has decided to unify all application teams into a single integrated unit—Enterprise Applications. The new unit combines the Campus Community Technologies and Business System Group areas. This combined structure will aid in coordinating resources, driving consistency in our tools and methodology, and will help to create a broad-based culture of engagement and partnership across the applications teams. It is expected that teams remain service-line focused along functional lines. Doing so will assure teams continue to understand the unique operational needs of our colleagues, are an effective partner in crafting enabling technologies, and are aligned with institutional goals. The new Associate CIO for Enterprise Applications role has been drafted, and a national search to include internal and external candidates will be conducted soon.
