New IT Employee Orientation Program Highlights
March 25, 2019
The IT New Employee Orientation Program was held on Tuesday, February 26, from 9:00 through 11:00 a.m. at 25 Science Park, room 125. The event was organized and hosted by members of the IT Climate, Culture, & Inclusion (CCI) task force. We welcomed 17 of our newest IT employees. IT managers, especially those with new hires, were also invited to participate in a new and inclusive way. The turnout was fantastic.
Overall feedback from the survey was very positive. The most positive feedback was the ice breaker that allowed small groups to share something about themselves, and the opportunity to network and socialize. Feedback also suggested creating a buddy system for new employees. This is something the IT employee orientation working group, a subgroup within CCI, will explore.
This was only made possible with everyone’s support. The next IT New Employee Orientation will occur in May 2019. The CCI IT employee orientation working group welcomes all feedback and suggestions. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org.
