Antivirus Upgrade - April 11

From 7:00 - 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 11, ITS will perform a rolling upgrade to Cylance Antivirus software on devices managed by IT professionals. There will be no visible changes to the interface and no actions required for individuals using Yale’s antivirus service, although the system tray icon may flicker briefly while the service is started and stopped again. This upgrade is required by our Antivirus vendor, Cylance, and allows Yale to meet/maintain Yale University security standards.
To follow this change, individuals who use ServiceNow to manage tickets can view CHG0068722 (requires login); others who have questions or concerns about this change should contact the ITS Help Desk at 203-432-9000. If issues are discovered during deployment, we will post to the IT system status page.
