Collaboration Leads to Successful eShipGlobal Upgrade

After almost a year of collaboration, the University’s express shipping tool, eShipGlobal, supporting more than 45,000 shipments annually and used by over 2,200 individuals in the Yale community, was successfully upgraded on Monday, March 25.

Enhancements include:

  • Chart of Accounts (COA) profiles, for easier access when creating shipments, and streamlined financial tracking.
  • Ability to capture additional details for research material shipments and international shipments, for enhanced compliance.
  • Links guiding users to specific classes that fulfill training requirements for some research material shipments, in support of Yale’s compliance goals.
  • Workflows created through the project will also be repurposed by the vendor to enhance Environmental Health & Safety compliance for use in other areas at Yale.

Congratulations to all the teams on completing this important project in support of the University’s Finance and Environmental Health and Safety priorities! Teams from ITS, Finance, Environmental Health & Safety, and Human Resources Training and Communications, all contributed to bringing this enhanced product to Yale.
