Banner Migration Project Update

The Banner migration project team has completed over 400 of the 700+ validations in the development instance, BAN3 thus far. These validations include shell scripts, batch processes, web applications, integrations and significant changes in server security required in the Linux environment.
Currently, the test instance (BAN2) migration is postponed. This decision was made based on the work left to complete, a government mandated upgrade through Ellucian (our Banner/student information systems vendor), and activities required to support Commencement. The team is working with the functional community to determine the best date available to continue with the migrations.
The BAN1 (production instance) migration is still targeted for the weekend of July 13 through 14. All Banner instances are expected to be migrated before August 2019.
