Follow Up to IT Town Hall
May 16, 2019
On Tuesday May 14, ITS staff and IT partners packed Zhang Auditorium at the School of Management for the IT Town Hall. The town hall focused on IT’s reaffirming our three strategic anchors – One IT @ Yale, Service Quality (previously referred to as Operational Excellence), and Workplace of Choice. John Barden provided many examples of the good progress being made in each of these areas and shared his appreciation for all the hard work. The discussion also featured an interesting and interactive panel discussion led by Randy Rode. The panel primarily focused on the One IT @ Yale strategic anchor, underscoring the importance of partnerships and early engagement with technology teams outside of central IT. Panelists including members of the IT Leadership Council, featuring Ken Wieler, School of Management, Lucas Swineford, Center for Teaching and Learning, Dale Hendrickson, Library Information Technology Services, and Ray McKeon, School of Forestry and Environmental Studies.
Questions submitted via text that weren’t answered due to lack of time will be answered by John in the near future.
For those in attendance, please take a moment to complete the post meeting survey to share your thoughts, including any questions you may have, and let us know what you would like to learn more about as we continue to shape IT at Yale.
