All staff who can work at home should continue to do so. Only with an explicit request from a supervisor should a staff member return to campus. For more information, review COVID-19 Workplace Guidance.
Need Technology Help? Get Help
June 13, 2019
Get Help, also known as helpme.yale.edu, is the entry point to campus IT support. Here, the Yale community can find self-help, connect with the Help Desk, obtain information regarding outages and hot topics, locate walk-in centers, and find local IT support—all in one place.
Get in touch with the Help Desk by selecting one of the icons at the top of the page or use the Get Help menu found in the footer of all pages in the IT at Yale website. You can have an interactive live session through online discussion via Chat. The Enter Session Key option allows support staff to connect to devices remotely during a phone call.
For those who prefer self-help solutions, you can solve problems and get answers to questions 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, by searching our library of how-to articles. New knowledge articles are added to the Need to Know section whenever hot IT topics arise in the Yale environment. Discover news about trending problems, learn about new IT services or changes to existing services, and when projects are completed. If you’d like, you can also save a knowledge article to your Favorites.
Other useful resources on the page include active and scheduled outages posted through the System Status applet. You can also view the status of existing inquiries, requests, and problems from the My Items link and Report a Problem with the click of a button.
