Update: Common Reporting Platform deployed
July 25, 2019
Yale has successfully launched the Common Reporting Platform (CoRe). The new platform infrastructure, data management tools, and business intelligence components were successfully moved into production with select trained Financial Systems and Solutions (FSS) partners in April of 2019. In May, Research Enterprise’s data mart and related reports were deployed for initial use by the Office of Research Operations (OREO).
CoRe leverages Microsoft SQL Server database technology on Azure cloud servers. CoRe will support integrated analytical reporting across Yale, supplimenting operational system reporting that currently underserves Yale’s administrative needs.
CoRe reporting includes:
- Microsoft Power BI for analysis, visualizations, and data preparation.
- SQL Server Reporting Service (SSRS) for pixel-perfect formatted reports.
- Power BI Report Server (PBIRS) portal for scheduling and distribution of reports.
In addition to FSS and OREO, Institutional Reporting and Analytics would like to thank all ITS colleagues who supported the successful CoRe go-live.
For additional information about CoRe analytics, including how to download and become familiar with Microsoft Power BI, please visit Yale’s Administrative Reporting & Analytics training web page or the Yale Software Library.
