August Training - Sustainable planning, design and construction

The next in a series of seminars on sustainable planning, design, and construction will be presented on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from noon to 1:30 p.m., Room 802 at 2 Whitney Avenue.  Lunch will be served. Registration not required, just show up.

The topic is “Electronic Access Control & Transparency - LEED v4” presented by Amy Musanti, Director, Sustainable  Building Solutions, Assa Abloy.

Details:

Increasingly, security design must take into account its effect on the carbon footprint of a building or installation. This encompasses both the materials used in the fabrication of product as well as the energy consumption which results from using that product. This session will focus on these issues as they apply to door openings and access control and discuss why sustainability needs to be everyone’s concern.

The webinar can be self-reported to GBCI for LEED Green Associate and LEED AP credential maintenance and to AIA.
