Update: ITS strategic objectives

August 8, 2019

The ITS leadership team reconvened on Wednesday, July 31, to continue their work on building out our organizational goals. The senior leadership team (SLT) presented a draft of their plans to translate the ITS strategic objectives into actionable outcomes over the next three fiscal years (FY20, FY21, FY22).

Using the three strategic anchors of Service Quality, One IT at Yale and Workplace of Choice, the team focused on ways to align fiscal management, operations, strategy, and culture in the organization as top priorities—based on the following ITS 6 Strategic Objectives:

  • Enhance Financial Acumen and Responsibility
  • Optimize Service Offerings and Incentive Model
  • Improve Service Reliability
  • Mature IT Governance
  • Simplify and Standardize Core Processes
  • Enhance Culture of Accountability

These objectives and outcomes will create the balanced scorecard used to measure our progress.
The SLT will continue to partner with the leadership team to create and deliver clear expectations and responsibilities. At the next Leadership Team meeting in August, outcomes will be finalized and ready for teams to create goals in support of this work.
