All staff who can work at home should continue to do so. Only with an explicit request from a supervisor should a staff member return to campus. For more information, review COVID-19 Workplace Guidance.
Computer management gets easier
September 5, 2019
On Sunday, September 15, ITS will silently enable “Azure AD hybrid domain join” on all ITS-supported computers. Individuals on campus will not need to restart or sign-into their computers. However, individuals whose computers are not on campus (not connected to the Yale network) will need to connect to Virtual Private Network (VPN) to receive the new settings.
The above change will allow ITS to leverage more efficient computer management technologies, making it easier to support ITS-managed computers. Once the computers receive the new settings, ITS will be able to manage remote machines without requiring a VPN connection. This includes making software updates and installing new applications.
