ITS Backup Service (Code42) upgrade and outage

- The ITS Backup Service technology will be upgraded on Thursday, October 10, from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.
- There will be a one-hour interruption in back-ups as the client upgrades itself. During this time, the backup service will not be available.
- No action is required on your part.
On Thursday, October 10, from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m., ITS will upgrade the ITS Backup Service (Code42) application to version 7. During this time, the backup service will not be available.
The upgrade will occur automatically, when the computer is connected to Yale’s network and checks in with Yale’s master server. It is expected to take approximately one hour to complete. All existing backup set schedules and parameters will migrate seamlessly to the new system. After the upgrade, the application will automatically start backing up as it did before.
