Scheduled outage April 30 – Bomgar remote support software

- The remote support software, Bomgar, will be unavailable between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 30.
- You will not be able to share your desktop with support staff during this time.
- The software upgrade includes a re-brand and will now be called BeyondTrust Remote Support.
- No action is required.
ITS is upgrading its remote support software to BeyondTrust Remote Support 19 – a re-branded and upgraded version of our current Bomgar Remote Support 17 software. After the upgrade completes, when visiting Get Help and selecting Share My Desktop, you will see BeyondTrust instead of Bomgar within the pop-up notification. This new version provides numerous enhancements and bug fixes, and supports the latest versions of Windows and macOS.
On Wednesday, April 29, IT support providers and partners will be sent a separate communication with instructions on how to support their staff using the new tool. No action is required by individuals requesting remote support.
