Dear Lead Administrators,

Each year, the Controller’s Office sends out the Lead Administrator Environmental Controls Questionnaire. We ask that Lead Administrators please complete the 2020 Environmental Controls Questionnaire themselves.    

The questionnaire is a valuable tool used to identify risk within units responsible for budgetary oversight. Lead Administrators and Operations Managers are encouraged to use the results of the questionnaire as a foundation to determine if a more in-depth review of structures and controls is required.

Results from the questionnaire will also help Senior Directors, the Office of the Controller, and other central compliance offices with guidance for strengthening Yale’s internal controls.

This survey is focused on the responsibilities of the Lead Administrator role to promote a strong control environment in their unit. The questionnaire is an opportunity for you to reflect on your organization’s internal control structure, taking into consideration changes that may have occurred throughout the year.

It should take about 10 minutes to complete. A link to the survey can be found below. In addition, the questions are also attached here for your reference. The deadline to complete the questionnaire is end of day, Tuesday, June 30, 2020.
