Issues with Accelerated/Decelerated Spending on Awards – Yale report

July 8, 2020

Summary

The following issues have been identified with the Accelerated/Decelerated Spending on Awards – Yale report and are being researched and fixed:

  • The Funding Amount may be incorrect if a value is input in the Cost Center Hierarchies or Cost Center prompts and the Organization for the Award is not contained within that value.
  • The Expenses amount may be incorrect if values are selected in the Award Schedule Date prompts.

These identified defects are being researched and are in the process of being fixed. Currently, there is no expected deployment date for the fixes.

Details

If a value is input in the Cost Center Hierarchies or Cost Center prompt, and the Award’s Organization is not contained with that value, the Funding Amount will be incorrect. Another way of looking at this is that if the Award is not owned by the Cost Center (or hierarchy value, like Planning Unit) entered in those prompts, the Funding Amount will be incorrect. The report does not currently use the Award Line Cost Center or the Award Organization for determining the values to include.

Also, if you enter any dates in the following prompts:

  • Award Schedule End Date On or After
  • Award Schedule End Date On or Before
  • Award Schedule Start Date On or After
  • Award Schedule Start Date On or Before

The report may still include Awards that fall outside of these dates, however Expenses will only be included within these dates.

These defects are being researched and the necessary fixes are being evaluated and tested.  In the meantime, please be aware of the impact of using these prompts for this report.
