Credit Card Platform Standardization

For all departments and business operations (not using EPIC), we will leverage TouchNet’s Marketplace products to build our ecommerce platform. TouchNet is a leading provider of a leading provider of integrated, comprehensive, and secure ecommerce solutions for colleges and universities. TouchNet offers a robust platform with a variety of solutions that will meet the University’s range of credit card processing needs.

To ensure we build consistency in our credit card acceptance platform, departments must contact epay@yale.edu before searching for a solution, an upgrade or making a change to an existing solution. If departments are currently conducting a search, contact epay@yale.edu before selecting a new system or finalizing any agreements. Our objective is to standardize credit card hardware and software; therefore, deployment of the TouchNet solution to your department will be within the scope of this project. A member of the team will contact you to discuss the TouchNet solution with you.

Departments will be migrated to the new solution in phases over the next 18-24 months. The project team will work with each department to assess their credit card processing environment, to deploy the TouchNet solution based on their needs, and determine the timing for their deployment. For the remainder of 2020, departments, without an ecommerce platform may volunteer to deploy the ePAY solution by contacting epay@yale.edu.
