Task Force 21 – Finance and Business Operation’s cross-campus training team!

Last month, a new cross-campus team of professionals came together to form the new “Task Force 21” group – this task force was established in response to training goals that have been established by Yale Finance.  The new group will seek to develop a plan for functional financial training focused on internal controls and compliance.

On November 9, a kickoff meeting was held with the team members (listed below) where the team had an opportunity to meet, hear directly from Steve Murphy (one of the project sponsors) about the project, why it is important, and what we want to achieve.

The objectives of TF21 are:

  1.  invest in developing our talent, helping each other learn and grow,
  2.  build a stronger community of financial professionals at Yale across the campus – in the center, schools, and units; and
  3. strengthen internal controls and the compliance environment.

At this time the work has just started, but we look forward to sharing updates and the finished product with all finance professionals!
