Epic training for New Haven Residents

The New Haven Hiring Initiative (NHHI) recently partnered with the Yale School of Medicine (YSM) to create Epic training for New Haven residents from the seven neighborhoods of focus. Five participants will be selected for the pilot phase, which includes detailed Epic training followed by two months of job shadowing.
Once fully trained, the participants will serve as floaters and provide coverage across the Yale School of Medicine for PTO, Leave of Absence, etc. This is a unique opportunity for New Haven residents from the neighborhoods of focus to acquire Epic skills and become more competitive candidates for regular clinical positions at Yale.
The Epic program is a continuation of NHHI’s efforts to provide training opportunities to residents and strengtens their candidacy for regular, full-time jobs at the university.
