Staff Spotlight - Ben Walter

Please join us in welcoming Ben Walter, who recently joined the Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI), WorkLife, and the New Haven Hiring Initiative as their new Diversity Support Specialist. Ben comes with six years of experience in administrative roles at the Yale School of the Environment.

He has supported the Environmental Leadership and Training Initiative and the Yale Forest Forum for the last four years. From 2018 to 2020, he served as Co-Chair of the LGBTQ Affinity Group, and he now serves on their communications subcommittee.

Ben enjoys running, yoga, and playing Dungeons and Dragons with friends. He lives in the East Rock neighborhood of New Haven with his two cats, Barbar and Vanta, who are still learning to get along.
