New Haven Promise Internships at Yale 2022

June 24, 2022

The 2022 New Haven Promise Internship season commenced on June 1, 2022. This summer, the New Haven Hiring Initiative is happy to host 48 NHP interns within 21 Yale departments. We are thankful for all the departments that have supported an increase from Summer 2021, where we had thirty-six interns over fourteen departments. This summer also marks the return to campus for our interns, and most interns will follow their department’s hybrid work week.

The New Haven Promise Internship experience is offered throughout the New Haven community and helps local employers to build a high-quality, well-educated workforce. Thirty-one host organizations in the greater New Haven area have employed fifty interns.

This summer, New Haven Promise interns will experience new career opportunities and participate in seven professional development lunch & learns regarding topics such as:

  • Growing your Network (including LinkedIn)
  • Resume Workshop
  • Advocating for Yourself/Conflict Resolution
  • Financial Stability in Your 20’s
  • Building Your Brand

The New Haven Hiring Initiative team is happy to host two Rotational HR Interns who will experience internal collaborations with Yale HR’s Talent Acquisitions, Work-Life, and Diversity and Inclusion programs. The interns will also experience local community building via the New Haven Hiring Initiative community outreach.
