Fall 2022 Yale PPE procurement update

Supply chain issues surrounding personal protective equipment (PPE) have largely abated and, as a result, the University continues to evaluate processes related to COVID-19. Please see the following updates:
What has changed?
Supply chain challenges affecting availability of select PPE items (gloves, wipes and hand sanitizer) have subsided and key Yale suppliers now have these items in stock.
What will change?
Once central supplies of select PPE items (gloves, wipes and hand sanitizer) are depleted, they will not be restocked centrally.
What will not change?
Disposable masks will continue to be supplied centrally via the Yale YPPS “PPE Supply Replenishment” site.
What do I need to do?
Departments should purchase these PPE items as needed using department funds through Workday/SciQuest.
