Fallon Thomas honored by New Haven Works

New Haven Works (NHW) celebrated its ten-year anniversary earlier this month. The festive event featured remarks by New Haven’s Mayor Justin Elicker and was attended by current and former employees, board members, employer partners, union partners, and members. Senator Martin Looney was the keynote speaker, followed by testimonials from NHW members about the support they received from NHW to gain employment. 

NHW recognized successful partnerships by presenting the Spotlight on Community Partners Awards to the Hon. Toni Walker, Hon. Tyisha Walker-Myers, Alexandra DiPippo (Yale New Haven Hospital), Peter Dimoulas (Southern CT State University Bio Path), Tara Farquharson, Timothy Washington, Fallon Thomas, Kimberly Maddox, and Ken Suzuki.

During the ceremony, Fallon Thomas, New Haven Hiring Initiative (NHHI) Community Liaison, was recognized for her dedication to assisting New Haven residents with their careers and supporting Yale’s commitment to hiring qualified and diverse candidates.Fallon Thomas was recently recognized by New Haven Works.

Fallon was a member of NHW in 2015 when she took a position with Yale Temporary Staffing Services (YTSS). Inspired to help others, Fallon volunteered with NHW and the NHHI to support potential candidates. A New Haven resident, she is passionate about impacting the lives of city members by providing access to Yale’s many opportunities and the information needed for successful candidacy.
