April 28, 2023

Earlier this month, United Way of Greater New Haven (UWGNH) held their first indoor trike (tricycle) race to support ending hunger in our communities. Held at the Floyd Little Athletic Center, New Haven the fundraising event was open to the public. Twelve teams competed in a relay race riding child-sized tricycles on an indoor running track.

Yale University was well represented by members from Future Leaders of Yale (FLY), Human Resources (HR), and Public Safety. Team FLY didn’t win the race but received the Most Creative Award and exceeded their $500 fundraising goal!

Team FLY included Marinda Monfilston and Ben Walter of HR, Yale Police Officers, Martha Cedeno-Ross and Greg Swiantek, as well as Hang “Apple” Pham, Yale Public Safety, and Yale alum Elisabeth Anton.
