Recently, L.E.A.P took another significant stride towards fulfilling its mission by partnering with the NHHI and Yale University’s Talent Acquisition team. The collaboration resulted in a dynamic workforce development presentation aimed at Junior and Senior L.E.A.P counselors. This event, a part of the NHHI’s Community Outreach and Engagement Manager’s LIFE after L.E.A.P workshop series, proved to be a game-changer for over 75 budding professionals.
The gymnasium buzzed with energy as attendees eagerly soaked in invaluable insights on kickstarting their careers. From interview and resume tips to navigating the professional landscape, the session was packed with practical advice. Yale University’s Talent Acquisition team brought their expertise to the table, engaging students with Yale Hospitality employment opportunities, further enriching the experience.
Key takeaways from the event included pathways to employment, internships, and various opportunities available within Yale University. Attendees were equipped with essential skills such as email etiquette, professional communication, crafting effective cover letters and resumes, and mastering the art of interviews.
