Operations Portfolio Management Office

Operations Portfolio Management Office

The Operations Portfolio Management Office (OPMO) is made up of three core pillars: Portfolio & Program Management, Process Improvement, and Organizational Change Management. These pillars collaborate across Operations to support project delivery, optimize processes and systems, and prepare the university community for change.

For information about the tools and training the OPMO offers, visit the OPMO Project Toolkit (login required).

Our Mission

The OPMO supports, guides, and drives rapid, relevant outcomes aligned to strategic priorities.

Strategic Priorities/Pillars

The OPMO enables Yale Operations to improve the effectiveness of critical, complex core processes through:

Strategic Focus – Ensure that initiatives are aligned to the Operations Strategic Plan, have the necessary resources and capacity, and are backed by university leaders.

Delivery Excellence – Foster project delivery by providing expertise across pillars, structures for governance and decision-making, and standard tools and training.

Cross-Functional Collaboration – Establish connective tissue across Operations by promoting a “One Yale” culture, involving diverse sets of stakeholders, and advancing a people-first approach to change.
