Associate CIO for IT Support Services

As the Associate Chief Information Officer for IT Support Services, Ryan orchestrates the integral services needed to provide an enhanced support experience for the Yale community.

ITSS represents a comprehensive portfolio that includes the ITS Service Desk, Student Technology Collaborative (STC), Desktop Support, A/V Systems Design and Engineering, Endpoint Management, Telecom Engineering, and the Technology Operations Center. These combined services operate under a support framework built on clear processes and standards and rely on collaboration from partners across the university to ensure an optimized and efficient support experience for the Yale community.

Ryan previously served as the Senior Director of Enterprise Reporting and Analytics, with responsibility for the services and technologies supporting the university’s data integration, reporting, and analytical needs, joining data across Human Resources, Finance, Research Administration, the Office of Development, and others. Ryan joined Yale in August 2012 as Program Director, Workday@Yale, with delivery responsibility for Yale’s multiyear implementation of Workday for HR, payroll, and financials.

Prior to joining Yale, Ryan served as a director of IT at global health insurer Cigna. At Cigna, Ryan led large multisite development and production support teams supporting Cigna’s administrative systems. From 1997 to 2001, Ryan was a management consultant serving a broad spectrum of industries including supply chain management, marketing and merchandising, and printing and publishing.

Ryan graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Management Science and Information Systems from The Pennsylvania State University.
