As the Associate CIO for ITS Campus Technology Services, Sandra has oversight over various groups which offer client support for the campus academic, research, and operational community. Her portfolio encompasses the Help Desk, Student Technology Collaborative, Distributed Desktop Support Personnel (DSPs), Classroom Technology Support, AV Design Services, Software Library, Telecommunications and Unified Communications Teams, and IT Relationship Management.
Sandra joined Yale in March of 2019. Previously she was Assistant Vice Chancellor of ITS User Support and Engagement at UNC Chapel Hill, North Carolina for 4 years. Her responsibilities there included oversight of the enterprise Computer Repair Center (Lenovo, Dell, Apple), ITS Service Desk and Business Systems (PeopleSoft) Help Desk, IT Service Management unit for central IT and 47 additional units and one external university in NC, Enterprise Software Acquisition and Distribution, Residential Halls Networking Support and the Carolina Computing Initiative (CCI). Prior to joining UNC, Sandra was IT Director at The University of Texas at Austin for 11 years where she led the ITS Help Desk, and was responsible Telecom Services, Telecom Assignment Office, Cellular Distributed Antenna Systems, AV and Multimedia Events, Building Security and Access Control Operations, ITS Fleet and Warehouse Management.
