Associate Director, IT Communications

Bailey was appointed Associate Director, IT Communications in January 2026. In this role, she provides strategic partnership and leads internal communications for ITS and One IT at Yale University. She also reports to the Office of Public Affairs and Communications.

Before joining Yale, Bailey served for over two years as the Associate Director of IT Communications at Clemson University, where she led strategic campaigns both internally and externally. Her work spanned IT policy, strategy, crisis communications, change management, risk mitigation, and support for research computing and cybersecurity. She led a team of two full-time employees and student interns each semester and also reported to the Division of Marketing and Communications.

Bailey began her career in higher education as a graduate student at Clemson University, where she earned an M.A. in Communication, Technology and Society and researched data centers, renewable energy and policy. She continued her research at the University of Colorado Boulder, earning an M.A. in Media and Public Engagement. Her work focused on topics in technology, podcasting and media policy. She earned a B.S. in Communication Studies at Indiana University Kokomo.

Additionally, Bailey worked multiple internships in media and communications roles, including security communications at Salesforce, finance communications at Johnson and Johnson, and higher education work for the Indiana Commission for Higher Education. She has research published in the journals of Television & New Media, Qualitative Research Reports in Communication, the International Journal of Cultural Studies, the Journal of Information, Communication and Society, and Communication & Sport.
