  • Windows 7 has been unsupported since January 14, 2020.
  • Devices running Windows 7 no longer meet Yale Minimum Security Standards (MSS), and require an approved policy exception from the Information Security Office.
  • On Tuesday, February 22, 2022, Windows 7 devices inactive for 365 days will be disabled in our Active Directory, preventing login from this device.
  • If you no longer require Windows 7 after February 22, 2022, no further action is required.

The Service Now Development and Support team is planning on upgrading the ServiceNow platform to the newest version, Rome, in the January timeframe.

The primary goal of the ServiceNow upgrade is to bring the platform forward to the most current version and take advantage of new features. A few of the new features that will either be evaluated after the upgrade or implemented during the upgrade include:

On December 20, the Enterprise Monitoring service will officially decommission OpsView as part of the planned transition to Dynatrace. This concludes a yearlong initiative during which the Enterprise Monitoring team has been working with operations, networking, infrastructure, and application support teams to identify, clean-up, and migrate required monitoring from OpsView to the new full-stack solution. ITS Operations will continue to monitor systems, as they do today, but via the new Dynatrace dashboards.

QGenda, a cloud-based provider scheduling application, is being introduced to support physicians within Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS) and Yale Medicine (YM). The adoption of this application will provide a digital, single source of truth to view and update on-call schedules. Through the QGenda mobile app, physicians can view their shift schedules real-time, sync schedules to their personal calendars, streamline requests and swap options, and — most importantly — provide more time to focus on patient care.
