Education and Training
Yale University is committed to protecting the rights and welfare of individuals in research. One way the Yale HRPP assists in this is by requiring training and offering educational workshops throughout the calendar year directed at investigators, staff and their research associates, where attendees are encouraged to bring questions and points for discussion. These workshops cover topics including Yale policies and procedures as well as federal regulatory requirements. Members of the HRPP and IRB staff also present information and provide guidance at meetings in academic departments and participate in university lectures, to emphasize selected aspects of human subject research, and to keep the community informed.
