Data Use Agreements (DUAs)
Data Use Agreements (DUAs) are contracts that facilitate the transfer of data for faculty use in scholarly activities that is subject to conditions on its use. DUAs outline the terms and conditions of data transfer, these terms and conditions may include limitations on the use of data, obligations to safeguard the data, and privacy rights that are associated with transfers of confidential or protected data.

Business Associate Agreements - A BAA is required when Yale is sharing identifiable data with a vendor performing certain services for Yale. BAA processing is handled by Yale’s HIPAA Privacy Office, firstname.lastname@example.org.
