Increasingly, federal agencies are distributing funding opportunity announcements that limit the number of applications to be submitted by a single institution to one or two, sometimes three. In such cases, Yale University holds an internal competition to select the proposals to be submitted. Those which are of an institutional nature are reviewed by a committee of the Provost’s/Dean’s offices. Opportunities for individual research grants are reviewed, generally, by the Scholar Awards Committee.
Many of the proposals responsive to the funding opportunity announcements include a broad base of investigators working in a variety of disciplines. We encourage you to look at the principal investigators (PIs) and proposal titles selected for each limited submission funding opportunity in case your own research interests overlap and you would like to be included in a proposal to be submitted.
