The purpose of this training is to familiarize faculty and other project directors with a number of considerations related to the administration of sponsored projects. While business office staff will carry out many of the tasks, the Principal Investigator ultimately has the responsibility to assure that project funds are expended according to Univeristy and sponsor requirements.

It is designed to raise awareness of University and sponsor policies and regulations and introduce the attendee to tools that support the management of sponsored projects. Topics covered include roles and responsibilities, allowability of costs, allocating allowable costs, purchasing strategies, travel charges, and record retention.
