Robbery Prospect and Sachem January 19, 2020

A message from Chief Ronnell A. Higgins

To the Yale Community,

I write to let you know that a robbery occurred this afternoon at approximately 2:30 pm the area of Prospect and Sachem Streets. Two women were walking in the area near Ingalls Rink when they were approached from behind by two masked men.  The men grabbed one of the women’s purse and fled into a white four door sedan, possibly a Nissan. No weapons were displayed and no physical injuries were reported. The New Haven police are investigating.
