The Sherwood School is a Piagetian Program, believing that when children are given “the gift of time” to develop at their own appropriate, individual rate, they become confident, happy and healthy individuals. We offer them the opportunity to learn by doing, with a rich, thematic environment and activities scaffold to individual needs. We encourage the children to question and choose their play, discovering the joy of learning. Play is the work of the child. Parents are our partners in this early childhood journey, and participate in many ways, from transition and orientation visits, to development assessment meetings and parent programs. They are always welcome in the classroom to share a talent, skill or story.
